Joe Fresh

From June 2015 to May 2016, I worked as a freelance designer at Joe Fresh, specializing in men’s woven shirts and sleepwear. Under the direction of Creative Director Jose Abellar, I was responsible for creating seasonal assortments that were cohesive, visually balanced, and offered a diverse range of colors, patterns and textures. Drawing on deep study of menswear, I designed all plaids, checks, stripes and prints in-house. I also fit all styles to refine silhouettes and construction details. In addition to design, I partnered directly with overseas factories to manage sampling and worked with local trim vendors to source high-quality buttons and tapes. The role demanded a sharp eye for detail, technical precision, and a strong understanding of the menswear market, aligning with Joe Fresh’s accessible, modern essentials aesthetic.
